MoscowMoscow isthe head-capital city of Russia. It is in the Central Federal district ofEuropean Russia. Moscow is located down by the Moskva-river. It has about 12million inhabitants. Its radius is 25 kilometers, but it gets even 50kilometers long at its’ widest. The city is 850 years old. At first it was justa little wooden village, then it was made of white stones and today the Kremlinof Moscow, where it all started, is beautifully red. Moscow hasn’t always beenthe capital of Russia. For a certain temporary period of time Sankt-Petersburgserved as a capital of the land, since Peter the Great moved it there.Moscow isnot only the political capital, but also a religious capital of the orthodox Christians.Therefore Moscow has a huge amount of lovely churches with gold cupolas thatare certainly worth of visiting. By many ranks Moscow’s metro is considered tobe the most beautiful in the world, so it also is a tourist attraction. Manyparks of Moscow offer excellent places to have fun and relax for the guests andcitizens of Moscow. Moscow has nearly thousand museums. Some famous museums areTretyakov gallery and the Pushkin museum of fine arts. People can also see highquality theatrical performances and ballet in Moscow.
