Sumy –regional and cultural centre of Sumy region. The city is famous for its uniquehistory, legends and sights. One of the legends connected with the name of thecity. Sumy is located on the banks of two rivers: the bag Bag. According tolegend, there were found bags of hunters, hence the name, and rivers, and thecity itself. The city ofSumy in Ukraine was founded in 1655, although some sources indicate the year1652. But, modern historians have come to the conclusion that it is not correctto assume a later date.
