Melba has 2 liter bottle of water. She and her 2 friends each drink 250ml of water. Together< did they drink more that or less than half of the bottle of water ? Explain your thinking.

They drank  less than half of the bottle because they drank 500 ml, but half of the bottle is 1 liter.
