England is a wonderful country with a richhistory, unique culture, amazing people and gorgeous countryside. It is one ofthe most developed country in the world and, at the same time one of the mostorganized countries. Therefore I would like to speak namely about this piece ofland.  
   England is a part of the United Kingdom,sharing borders with Scotland and Wales. The most important symbols, whichrepresent this country, are The St. George’s cross (the national flag ofEngland), the Tudor rose (the nation’s floral emblem) and the Royal Arms ofEngland (a national coat of arms featuring three lions). England doesn’t havean official national anthem as it is the same in the entire UK.   
   Population of England is quite big, includingmore than 53 million people. This number makes England by far the most populouscountry of the United Kingdom.   
   Geographically, England includes the centraland southern two-thirds of the island of Great Britain. This country has a temperatemaritime climate. The weather is very damp, as the rain is present herepractically every day. The capital and the largest city is London, but besides it,there are other great cities like Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Glasgowand others.   
   Because England has a very rich culture,there are a lot of famous personalities like different writers, singers, actorsand scientists. This huge list includes William Shakespeare - the mostimportant writer and poet of the English Language, J.K Rowling - the person whocreated Harry Potter and Sir Isaac Newton – the greatest scientists of alltime.   
   And to conclude with, I would like tointroduce you to some interesting facts about this country. Not everybody knowsthat French was the official language of England for about three hundred years,until 1362. Probably a well-known fact is that English people consume more teathan anybody else in the world, but you may not know that they consume as muchcider. Also, there are over three hundred languages spoken in this country. Theshortest war against England lasted 38 minutes.  
   As you can see, England is a very interestingcountry and I hope that my presentation was interesting as well.
